The arrest followed a series of questioning sessions and searches conducted at his official residence. Kejriwal was subsequently taken to the ED office located on A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Road.
Transfer To ED Office Amid Tight Security
At 11 p.m., the ED team transported the Chief Minister from his residence to the financial probe agency's office. Tight security measures were implemented around the vicinity of the ED office, with a significant deployment of police personnel and the erection of barricades. Additionally, prohibitory orders were enforced in the area.
Arvind Kejriwal To Remain In ED Custody
Arvind Kejriwal will spend the night in the ED lockup, where investigators will not question him tonight. He is scheduled to be presented before the court on Friday after undergoing a medical examination. Meanwhile, the ED's legal team is reportedly preparing a remand application to seek custody of Kejriwal.
Plea For Protection From 'Coercive Action' Denied
The arrest of the Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal occurred after the Delhi High Court dismissed his plea seeking protection from "coercive action" by the ED, which had previously issued multiple summons to him.

Delhi court remands CM Arvind Kejriwal to ED custody till 28 March in excise policy case.
Arvind Kejriwal's lawyer Madan Lal says, "ED was asking for a 10-day remand. They said that to trace the money trail, a custodial investigation is necessary. Considering all aspects, the judge gave a 6-day custodial remand. He will be presented here again on 28 March. ED argued that the money used for the Goa elections was ill-gotten. They said they have statements of some witnesses which prove this fact..."
