3 Injured After Dispute Over Money Turns Violent In Delhi's Khayala

The police said that during the clashes, locals pelted stones at police and set a vehicle on fire.

Delhi News: At least three people were injured after clashes broke out following a dispute over money that escalated into violence in west Delhi's Khayala locality early on Wednesday, as reported by news agency PTI. During the clashes, locals pelted stones at police and set a vehicle on fire, as per the police. Police personnel have been deployed in the area to maintain law and order, and no one has been arrested so far.

A police official said that the clashes between locals broke out near B-1 Chowk in Khayala. A monetary dispute led to a verbal spat that soon turned violent. 

In another incident that took place last week on Sunday, police arrested two accused for allegedly beating and robbing a Japanese national near Siraspur Railway Fatak, as reported by news agency ANI. According to an official, both accused were nabbed, and all the robbed articles have been recovered from their possession.

According to DCP (Outer North) Ravi Kumar Singh, on February 24 at 2.24 PM, a call was received at Samaypur Badli Police Station regarding robbery, as reported by ANI.

According to ANI, a Japanese national resident of DLF Gurugram, Haryana, 45, accused that two boys came from behind and started beating him. They robbed him of his camera, two mobile phones, and his purse. Thereafter, they fled away from the spot.

Meanwhile, in another incident, a 25-year-old ice cream vendor was stabbed multiple times near north Delhi’s Chandni Chowk area on Wednesday, police said, as reported by PTI. Police said that they got a PCR call at 1.25 am at Kotwali police station regarding the incident at Nai Sarak.

"A team was dispatched and after reaching the spot they got to know that the man was rushed to LNJP Hospital with multiple stab injuries on his back, hip, and thigh. The victim was not fit for statement due to high intoxication," a senior police officer said, as quoted by PTI.
