'Not Even A Single Rupee Of Corruption...': AAP After SC Dismisses Manish Sisodia's Bail Plea

During a news conference, Atishi stated that the AAP will analyse the ruling and consider legal options.

After the Supreme Court denied Manish Sisodia's bail application in connection with alleged irregularities in the Delhi Excise Policy case, Aam Adami Party (AAP) minister Atishi said that her party does not 'agree' with the top court's decision, news agency ANI reported. During a news conference, Atishi stated that the AAP will analyse the ruling and consider legal options. "We respect SC but do not agree with order dismissing Manish Sisodia bail plea. We will study it and explore legal options," she said.

Furthermore, the Delhi minister stated that her party has been and would continue to be honest. "Not even a single leader of AAP is corrupt. The AAP was honest, is honest and will remain an honest party," she stated.

The Supreme Court denied Manish Sisodia's bail application in connection with alleged irregularities in the Delhi Excise Policy case on Monday. Meanwhile, the BJP has said that the Supreme Court judgement demonstrates that corruption runs deep in the AAP and that the Delhi Chief Minister would be arrested soon.

"After this decision, it has been proved that Manish Sisodia and AAP are full of corruption... Now the arrest of top leaders of AAP is near... Arvind Kejriwal too will get arrested" BJP leader and Lok Sabha MP Manoj Tiwary was quoted by ANI in its report.

The CBI arrested Manish Sisodia in February 2023 for suspected irregularities in the formulation and execution of Delhi's now-cancelled new tax policy.

The policy was abandoned when the opposition accused the administration of wrongdoing. Sisodia is now being held in judicial detention.

According to the CBI, Sisodia played the most crucial and vital part in the criminal conspiracy, and he was extensively involved in both the creation and implementation of the aforementioned policy to assure the attainment of the conspiracy's aims. "We have dismissed the bail plea of Manish Sisodia," the court said on Monday.
