'Would Be Big Thing If BJP Wins Even...': Delhi CM Kejriwal On LS Polls, I.N.D.I.A. Seat-Sharing, ED Summons
Delhi CM, voiced his discontent regarding the delayed actions by the I.N.D.I.A bloc partner Congress, suggesting that better outcomes could have been achieved if initiatives taken in time.
New Delhi: Delhi Chief Minister and AAP convenor Arvind Kejriwal, took a swipe at the BJP on Tuesday, over their claims of winning 370 seats in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. "They are talking nonsense. It would be a very big thing if they even cross 270 seats let alone 370", Kejriwal said alleging price rise, unemployment, and high petrol prices.
According to news agency PTI Delhi CM also voiced his discontent regarding the delayed actions by the I.N.D.I.A bloc partner Congress, suggesting that better outcomes could have been achieved if initiatives had been undertaken in a timely manner. Despite this, Kejriwal expressed contentment with the seat-sharing agreement reached with the Congress. He conveyed these sentiments during a summit organised by the TV9 Network.
Earlier, AAP and the Congress announced an alliance in Delhi, with the former securing four out of the seven Lok Sabha seats in the city. Additionally, AAP and the Congress have also forged alliances in other states such as Gujarat and Haryana. "Some movement has happened now but I am not satisfied. I think many activities should have happened much earlier but it did not happen. If we had worked faster, the result could have been even better", PTI quoted CM Kejriwal as saying.

When questioned about the responsibility for the delayed activities within the I.N.D.I.A bloc, CM Kejriwal attributed the leadership role to the Congress, stating that as the leading party in the coalition, it should have taken the initiative. There were several shortcomings there, he said, reported PTI.
In response to accusations of embracing soft Hindutva, CM Kejriwal addressed said that the Ram Mandir was a matter of personal faith. He acknowledged visiting the temple with his family but asserted that seeking votes solely in the name of Lord Ram was inappropriate. Kejriwal stressed the importance of maintaining humility and refraining from flaunting one's devotion, stating that while he visited the Ram Mandir, he did not publicise the act as a display of his piety, as per PTI.
Kejriwal On ED Summons
Notably, CM Arvind Kejriwal also talked about his decision to skip the summons issued by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in connection with the excise policy-linked money-laundering case, asserting that he will pursue legal avenues to address what he deems as unlawful notices from the agency.
"I will do what is legally correct. ED filed case against me in a court. ED should now wait for the court order. It has become a drama now that they keep sending summons", Kejriwal remarked, as per PTI.
He also alleged that the BJP-led central government is using the ED to scare the opposition parties, fragment them and topple governments. Claiming that he is not a politician and does not know how to do politics, as per PTI.
CM Arvind Kejriwal underscored the accomplishments of the AAP government in Delhi, particularly in the filed of education, health, and electricity supply. Delhi CM went on to claim that it was feasible to provide free education and health facilities to all 140 crore people in the country, along with supplying 200 units of electricity per month at no cost, by allocating a budget of Rs 11.5 lakh crore.
