Punjab Police ASI Kills Wife, Son With Service Weapon In Gurdaspur

An assistant sub-inspector of Punjab police allegedly shot dead his wife and son in the state’s Gurdaspur district on Tuesday.

In a shocking incident, an assistant sub-inspector of Punjab police allegedly shot dead his wife and son in the state’s Gurdaspur district on Tuesday, reported PTI citing police. ASI Bhupinder Singh allegedly killed his wife Baljit Kaur and son Lovepreet Singh with his service weapon at around 10 am in Bhumbli village, the police official added, as per PTI. 

Singh was said to be posted in Amritsar. Shockingly, ASI Singh also shot his pet dog and is on run, police said. 

Police are yet to ascertain the reason which led to Singh killing his wife and son, police said. A probe is underway.
