Jharkhand Shocker: Orchestra Dancer Gang-Raped By Group Members After Spanish Woman Case
A 21-year-old woman was allegedly gang-raped in Jharkhand's Palamu district days after a Spanish woman was gang-raped in the state's Dumka district.
A 21-year-old orchestra dancer was allegedly gang-raped in Jharkhand's Palamu district by three men. The victim, a resident of Chhattisgarh, registered a case in the Bishrampur area of Palamu district after which the police arrested two of the three accused. Efforts are underway to arrest the third accused.
The accused persons and the victim are said to be acquaintances as they worked together in the same orchestra group.

Spanish Woman Gang-raped In Jharkhand
A 28-year-old Spanish woman was allegedly raped in Jharkhand's Dumka district last week in the Hansdiha police station area, around 300 km from the state's capital Ranchi. The incident happened last Friday when she was spending the night in a tent along with her husband.
The couple had reached Dumka from Bangladesh on two motorcycles and were to go to Nepal via Bihar.The woman registered a complaint after which three people were arrested. However, efforts are underway to nab the remaining four accused.
The Jharkhand police also handed over Rs 10 lakh compensation to the victim's husband. He also thanked the Jharkhand police for speedy action. The couple will leave Dumka today under the police's protection, Deputy Commissioner A Dodde stated.
The Jharkhand High Court on Monday took suo motu congisance of the matter and directed the state government to file a report regarding the case.
A division bench comprising Acting Chief Justice Shree Chandrashekhar and Justice Navneet Kumar issued notices to the DGP, chief secretary, and the SP of Dumka regarding the case. The bench also ordered the Dumka SP to file an affidavit informing the court of the action taken against the accused who committed the crime, news agency PTI reported.
