Man Suspects Wife Of Having Affair, Kills Her And 3 Kids In Chhattisgarh
A man suspected his wife of having an extra-marital affair following which he murdered her and three children in Chhattisgarh.
A man in Chhattisgarh killed his wife and three minor children in Bilaspur district over suspicion of her having an extra-marital affair. Bilaspur Superintendent of Police, Santosh Singh told news agency PTI that the incident took place late Monday night in Hirri village which comes under the jurisdiction of Masturi police station. The 34-year-old accused, identified as Umendra Kewat, was then arrested on the charges of murder and further investigation is underway.

According to the preliminary information, the accused allegedly strangulated his wife, two daughters (4 and 5 years old), and a son ( 2 years old) to death over the suspicion that his wife was having an affair, as reported by PTI.
Earlier in September, a man was arrested in Northeast Delhi for stabbing his wife to death over the suspicion that she had an extramarital affair. The couple’s daughter (11 years old) also sustained injuries on her hand when she was trying to rescue her mother. DCP (Northeast) Joy Tirkey said, “It was found that Nisha, 32, was stabbed multiple times at her home by her husband Sajid. She was rushed to GTB Hospital with stab injuries on her neck, chest and left hand, but doctors declared her dead.”
In August, a similar case occurred when a 56-year-old Kerala man beat his wife to death after suspecting her of infidelity. According to a PTI report, The accused, Unnikrishnan, had been working abroad for some time. He allegedly committed the crime three days after returning to the country, the police said. A police official said that after killing his 46-year-old wife, the accused reached Viyyur police station and surrendered.
As per PTI, police officials said that he doubted his wife's activities and assaulted her after accusing her of cheating.
