The incident comes days after a woman allegedly poisoned her husband's food in Uttar Pradesh's Kaushambi and killed him soon after breaking her fast on Karwa Chauth.
A 28-year-old woman allegedly killed her live-in partner with a grinding stone, hammer and knife in Delhi's Bhalaswa Dairy area. After committing the crime, the woman walked to a nearby police station and confessed to committing the crime. She told police that she was forced to take the extreme step as the man often assaulted her, Hindustan Times reported.
The couple – both married to different people earlier – had been living together in a flat in Mukundpur Part 2 in 2022. The man had one child with his former wife, the woman had four children. The couple used to have frequent fights over food, work, his lifestyle etc, a police official said.
Man Used To Beat Woman's Kids
Deputy commissioner of police (outer) Nidhin Valsan said the man allegedly used to beat the woman's children. "We have been told that the deceased would hit the children of the woman which enraged her. On Monday afternoon, Tawarak returned to the house after drinking and again fought with the woman. This time, the woman allegedly picked up a grinding stone and hit him in the head," Hindustan Times quoted the DCP as saying.
A police team that rushed to their house found the man lying on the floor in a pool of blood. All five children were in the house at the time of the incident.
The incident comes days after a woman allegedly poisoned her husband's food in Uttar Pradesh's Kaushambi and killed him soon after breaking her fast on Karwa Chauth. The couple argued just before the wife was to break her fast. She allegedly made him eat macaroni laced with poison and then left for a neighbour's house.
The man's condition worsened after eating the food, following which his family took him to the hospital, where he died during treatment. Shailesh had recorded a video accusing his wife of poisoning him before his death.
