Ujjain: 16-Year-Old Girl Raped In Car, 2 Arrested. MP Congress Says CM Yadav 'Unable To Manage Own City'
Ujjain News: A 16-year-old girl was allegedly raped in a car. Two out of three accused have been arrested. The incident sparked criticism from the Madhya Pradesh Congress, targeting CM Mohan Yadav.
A 16-year-old girl was allegedly raped in a car in Madhya Pradesh's Ujjain, leading to the arrest of two out of three accused, according to the police on Sunday.
Superintendent of Police Pradeep Sharma told news agency PTI that the survivor had met the primary accused, a resident of Shajapur district, during a marriage ceremony. “The two stayed in touch over phone and had met two-three times in the past five months,” he said.
The incident reportedly occurred on Friday when the accused invited the girl to meet him and she went with him in his car. "She told us she had been sexually assaulted by him. He was arrested along with one of his two associates," Sharma explained.
Medical examination findings revealed no injuries on the survivor, and further legal action will depend on her statement to be recorded in court, the police official added.

MP Congress Slams Mohan Yadav, Says CM 'Not Even Able To Manage His Own City'
The incident has sparked sharp criticism from the Madhya Pradesh Congress, targeting Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, who represents Ujjain, his home district. The party, in a post on X, remarked, "A brutal incident of gang rape of a minor is committed in the Chief Minister's hometown. The accused left the victim outside the medical college and ran away. In BJP's Jungle Raj, women's safety is being torn to shreds every day! The Chief Minister is not even able to manage his own city, let alone the state."
