102 Parking Lots To Accommodate Over 5 Lakh Vehicles During Maha Kumbh Mela. Check Details
Police have implemented extensive traffic arrangements for the Maha Kumbh 2025, including 102 parking lots with a capacity of over five lakh vehicles.
The police have made robust traffic arrangements for the upcoming Mahakumbh in Uttar Pradesh's Prayagraj, starting from January 13. To tackle the heavy influx of devotees in the city, a total of 102 parking lots have been established.
These parking lots will have a capacity of accommodating around five and a half lakh vehicles. The traffic plan designed by the police will not be applicable only to Prayagraj but seven other districts.
No vehicles, except those for essential services, will ply in the Mahakumbh area during the major snan festival and the day before and after it. The arrangement will remain in effect for five days on the biggest snan day, Mauni Amavasya.

The police involved in the arrangement of the mela have issued a thirty-one-page advisory. Additional Director General of Police, Prayagraj Zone, Bhanu Bhaskar gave details on the same in a special conversation with ABP News.
The ADG said if people read and follow this traffic advisory before coming to Mahakumbh, then not only will it be convenient for them, but for other devotees too. The advisory has been made available from the Mahakumbh website to all social media platforms, he added.
The parking space will be available on a first come first serve basis and all the facilities will be made available in the parking lots.
He also urged the people of Prayagraj to reduce the use of heavy vehicles without any special need during the mela period.

The people of Prayagraj themselves are experienced and it is expected that this time too they will extend their cooperation in making the arrangements easier, Bhaskar said.
For mobile medical facilities during the pilgrimage, a water ambulance from Gujarat arrived in Mahakumbh Nagar on Tuesday. The ambulance is equipped with oxygen cylinders and other medical supplies, reported PTI.
The ambulance has been deployed by the National Disaster Response Force to provide immediate medical attention to devotees at the Maha Kumbh in case of any mishaps during the bathing rituals.
