The headless and naked body of a woman was found on a national highway at Gujaini in the Kanpur district of Uttar Pradesh in a suspicion of rape and murder. The police are in the process of discovering and identifying the identity of the woman using CCTV footage.
CCTV footage from a hospital across the highway shows a woman with a similar build walking several hours before a body was discovered on the highway. The woman in the footage is wearing grey trousers, and fragments of a grey garment were discovered near the body.
According to NDTV, police reported that the body was first spotted at 6:15 a.m. yesterday. To investigate this case, three teams have been formed. There are no CCTV cameras at the location where the body was found, but a camera about 3 km away captured images of a woman walking alone. The clothing she wore matches pieces found on the highway. The police are reviewing the footage for further clues.
