Aadhar-PAN Link
Aadhar-PAN Link: Have you linked your Aadhaar card with the PAN card so far or not? If you haven't, then do it immediately as you may end up paying a hefty fine. It has been made mandatory to link Aadhaar with PAN from April 1, 2022.
CBDT issued a notification informing that from April 1, 2022, a penalty will have to be paid if PAN is to be linked with Aadhaar. A penalty of Rs 500 will have to be paid for not linking PAN with Aadhaar within the first three months from April 1 onwards. A penalty of Rs 1000 will have to be paid for linking after this period.
After this order of the CBDT, it is clear that the government is not going to extend the dates of linking the Aadhaar card with the PAN card now.
Earlier, the government had extended this deadline several times and the last date was decided as March 31, 2022. But according to the CBDT's notification, a penalty will have to be paid for linking Aadhaar with PAN from April 1, 2022.

If the PAN card is locked in the situation of the Aadhaar card not linked with the PAN card, then you will not be able to avail of any such facility where the PAN card is mandatory.
