Eid 2023 Bank Holiday: Check List Of Cities, States Where Banks Will Remains Closed On April 22
As per the RBI holiday calendar, the fourth Saturday of the month is designated as the bank holiday for Eid. Several states also close their banks on April 21 in observance of Jumat-ul-Vida/Garia Puja
Public and private sector banks will remain closed on April 22, 2023, in observance of Eid-ul-Fitr. As per the Reserve Bank of India's (RBI) holiday calendar, the fourth Saturday of the month is designated as bank holiday for Eid. Banks in many states will also remain closed on April 21 in observance of Jumat-ul-Vida, Garia Puja, and Id-Ul-Fitr/Ramzan Eid.
Banks will remain shut in Agartala, Jammu, Kochi, Srinagar, and Thiruvananthapuram on April 21.
While on April 22 banks will remain closed in the following cities.

Eid-ul-Fitr 2023 will be observed in India on April 22, and Eid Chand Raat will be observed on April 21, when the moon will be visible in the country. On Friday, April 21, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates will observe Eid 2023.
Most Indian banks’ functions are regulated by the Reserve Bank of India, and banking schedules and holidays are also governed by the RBI regulations. The RBI holiday calendar categorizes holidays as 'Holiday under Negotiable Instruments Act', 'Holiday under Negotiable Instruments Act and Real Time Gross Settlement Holiday', and 'Banks' Closing of Accounts.
All bank branches, including those in the public and private sectors, foreign, cooperative banks, and regional banks, remain closed on these holidays. Consumers are advised to check the list of holidays before heading to your branch.
All banks are closed on National holidays, which include Republic Day, Independence Day, and Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti. In addition to the public holidays in India, banks are also closed on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month. A bank's working day is the fifth Saturday of a month if there are five Saturdays in that month.
Private and public sector banks will remain closed for 15 days in total in April 2023 due to bank holidays including weekends.
