Dial4242 ventures into wheelchair taxis, pet ambulances in Mumbai

Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], Sept 4 (ANI): App-based ambulance aggregator Dial4242 announced the addition of two new service offerings under its platform, namely wheelchair taxi service and ambulances for pets.

In order to commission wheelchair-friendly vehicles, the company partnered with Ezy Mov, enabling users to book vehicles via the Dial4242 app. The services can be used for hospital transfers and medical appointments in addition to local and outstation leisure trips, airport transfers, and personal needs.

Addressing the demand for ambulances for pets, Dial4242 also commenced aggregating the same.

Pet owners in Mumbai can now get instant access to pet ambulances via Dial4242, which are equipped to handle emergency medical situations and can also be used by pet owners to take their pets for routine appointments, surgical procedures or in emergency situation.

"We recognize the need for medical transportation beyond ambulances and have hence synergized with Ezy Mov to provide accessibility with its unique wheelchair taxis for those in need. We are focusing equally on expanding our network of ambulances and on increasing the number of services that Dial4242 provides at the same time," said Himanshu Sharma, co-founder and COO, Dial4242.

"Since our launch, we have been receiving numerous enquiries and requests from pet owners seeking a safe and comfortable medical transportation service for their pet during emergency situations. A pet needs as much attention in health and medical conditions. Owing to this need, we have started aggregating Pet Ambulances in order to provide comprehensive services for pets thus ensuring that the animal is taken care of," added Sharma

The Dial4242 network currently has over 250 ambulances, which include Basic, ICU, Paediatric, and ambulances for transportation of the deceased under its network. Under the new service categories, Dial4242 will have 15 pet ambulances and 15 wheelchair vehicles, and are available in Mumbai, Thane and Navi Mumbai. (ANI)
