Bank Holiday On November 1
On November 1, banks will be closed in several states, including Tripura, Karnataka, Uttarakhand, Jammu & Kashmir, Maharashtra, Meghalaya, Sikkim, and Manipur, due to the observance of Deepavali, Kut, and Kannada Rajyotsava.
Bank Holiday On November 2
On November 2, banks in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, and other states will also be closed for Diwali, Laxmi Puja, and Govardhan Pooja. Notably, this day falls on the first Saturday of the month, which is typically not a holiday.
Bank Holiday On November 3
On November 3, banks across all Indian states and union territories will remain closed for Sunday.
However, customers can continue to access online services via their bank's apps or websites. ATMs and cash deposit machines will remain operational every day, regardless of bank holidays or festive occasions. This ensures that customers always have convenient access to essential banking services.
Stock Market Updates
The Indian stock market will open on November 1, 2024, but will remain closed for trading due to Diwali. Trading in the currency and derivatives segments will not occur. Additionally, trading in the Commodity Derivatives Segment and Electronic Gold Receipts will be suspended from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm but will resume for the evening session starting at 5:00 pm.
