Amaravati Inner Ring Road Case
The action against Nara Lokesh was initiated based on a complaint with CID by Mangalagiri MLA Alla Ramakrishna Reddy in April 2022. The complaint said that Chandrababu Naidu and former Minister P Narayana misused their official positions for corrupt motives to finalise the designs of Inner Ring Road and Amaravati Zonal Development Plans, reported The Hindu.
It was alleged that certain illegal and corrupt activities were committed by highly placed government officials between 2014 and 2019 with regard to the design of master plan for the Andhra Pradesh capital and alignment of the ring road to cause wrongful gain to certain individuals. The ruling party had accused Naidu of large scale irregularities in land acquisition and other aspects in development of the state capital Amaravati.
