Andhra Pradesh: Electrosteel Castings MD Umang Kejriwal Meets CM YS Jagan, Announces Production Expansion With Rs 1,000 Cr

Hyderabad: MD Umang Kejriwal, CEO of Electrosteel Castings Limited, Srikalahasti, met CM YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Wednesday at the camp office.
After the meeting, he said there was a conducive environment for entrepreneurs in the state. Electrosteel Castings Ltd, which has been manufacturing Ductile iron pressure pipes for 22 years, has outlined plans to expand production at its plant in Srikalahasti to 0.5 million tonnes soon at the cost of Rs 1,000 crore.
Representatives of Electrosteel Castings Ltd said that the state has been on a development trajectory for the last two and a half years under the leadership of CM Jagan.

Electrosteel Castings Limited in Srikalahasti is a leading manufacturer of Ductile iron pipes. The company exports its products to more than 90 countries. In AP, MD Umang Kejriwal said the company would undertake expansion work with an investment of Rs 1,000 crore. It also plans to increase production capacity by 0.5 million tonnes. Rajampet MP Peddireddy Venkata Mithun Reddy attended the meeting.
MoUs with Andhra Pradesh
Andhra Pradesh Industries Minister Mekapati Gautam Reddy is touring Dubai. The state government will use the Dubai Expo to attract foreign investment.
The AP Pavilion has been set up at the ongoing Investment Conference in Dubai from February 11-17. The Ministry of Industry will sign MoUs with several companies during the visit, aiming to attract investment. So far, three MoUs have been signed with an investment of over Rs 3,000 crore.
On Tuesday, the Ministry of Industries signed a key agreement with Abu Dhabi-based Tabriv Asia Industries. The two governments have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to develop exports of agricultural by-products, construction of warehouses, and technology to mitigate climate change.
APEDB CEO Subramaniam Javvadi and Tabrid Asia CDVO (Chief Development Officer) Francois-Xavier Ball signed the agreement in the presence of Industries Special Secretary Karikala Valavan and Government Adviser Zulfi.
