Pakistan summons Indian envoy JP Singh over alleged firing along LoC
Islamabad [Pakistan], Oct 15 (ANI): Pakistan on Sunday summoned Indian Deputy High Commissioner J.P. Singh to protest and condemn the alleged firing by the Indian troops along the Line of Control (LoC), in which two children were reportedly killed and four others injured.
Pakistan's Foreign Ministry has urged the Indian side to respect the 2003 Ceasefire Agreement and investigate the recent alleged incident and other ceasefire violations, Geo News Reported.
The ministry also asked India to instruct its Border Security Force (BSF) to respect the ceasefire in letter and spirit to maintain peace on the LoC.
This development comes at a time when indiscriminate and unprovoked firing has been continuously witnessed from the Pakistani side across the border, in which many Indian security personnel and civilians have lost their lives. (ANI)
