Pak calls back its envoy to India

Islamabad [Pakistan],Mar 15 (ANI): Pakistan on Thursday confirmed that it has called back it High Commissioner to India for a meeting.

Dr. Muhammad Faisal, the spokesperson of Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) said Pakistan High Commissioner to India Sohail Mahmood would be visiting Islamabad shortly for consultations on matters relating to Pakistan-India relations.

The development comes after the Pakistan High Commission complained on Saturday that its diplomats were being subjected to different kinds of harassment in New Delhi.

India too has alleged that several Indian mission staffers in Islamabad have been severely 'harassed and intimidated'.

The already souring ties between India and Pakistan have taken a sharp plunge ever since ceasefire violations by Pakistani forces have increased along the Line of Control (LoC) and terror attacks in Jammu and Kashmir have seen a rise in the last few months. (ANI)
