Netherlands PM to attend India-Dutch CEOs forum

New Delhi [India], May 19 (ANI): Netherlands Prime Minister Mark Rutte is scheduled to arrive in India for a two-day visit commencing from May 24 as part of India-Dutch CEOs forum to be held in New Delhi.

As per a release of Ministry of External Affairs on Friday, Prime Minister Rutte will be accompanied by a high-level delegation comprising of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality; Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation; Minister for Infrastructure and Water Management; and Minister for Medical Care.

Further, around 231 business delegates representing 130 companies have registered to join the Trade Mission.

They will represent varied sectors including agri-food, horticulture, logistics, education, smart cities, water, health and life sciences, IT, and maritime sectors.

Rutte's visit comes after the 2017 visit of Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the Netherlands.

On the sidelines of the CEO forum, Prime Minister Ruth is scheduled to visit the Indian Space Research Organisation in Bengaluru.

Indian Netherlands have a bilateral trade worth US$ 5.39 billion.

Netherlands is the 5th largest investor in India with a cumulative investment of US$ 23 billion for the period 2000 to Dec 2017.

Further, the country is home to around 2, 35,000 Indians, the highest in Europe's mainland.

As per the release the upcoming visit is expected to boost the economic and political cooperation between India and the Netherlands. (ANI)
