Kyocera museum exhibits Kyoto's Four Seasons in Watercolor Painting

Kyoto [Japan], May 22 (ANI): President of Japan-based electronics manufacturer Kyocera Corporation Hideo Tanimoto announced last week about the opening of a special exhibition at Kyocera Museum of Art.

The exhibition titled 'Promenade through Kyoto in Watercolors ? Kyoto's Four Seasons in Watercolor Painting' opened on May 19 and will be put up till July 1.

The four seasons will include cherry blossoms in Gion Shirakawa Street, downtown scenes of Fushimi, the Gion Festival and autumn leaves at Ichijoji Station.

Approximately 60 watercolour paintings, made by Takiko Kuroiwa, will be featured in the exhibition. They will represent Kyoto's famous sights, festivals, and seasonal sceneries.

Kuroiwa's extensive work around Kansai region has featured at various places including the cover of Keihan Railways' K PRESS travel magazine, illustrative tourist and visitor recommendations, label illustrations for beer and wine bottles, and designs for calendars and diaries.

Further, Kuroiwa's new set of paintings representing Fushimi has been specifically commissioned for the said exhibition. (ANI)
