CHIKO Adventures to welcome five-day long festival in Manipur

Ukhrul [Manipur] [India], Apr 23 (ANI): CHIKO Adventures, the only travel start-up from Ukhrul, Manipur is all set to welcome one of the state's biggest festival, Shirui Lily State Festival 2018 with interesting events from April 24 to 28.

The team has lined up adventurous events for the five-day-long festival, many of which will be first of its kind in Ukhrul and in Manipur.

One of the unique events will be the Cross-Country Enduro race covering a distance of 84 km from Khuman Lampak (Imphal) to Ukhrul. Riders from six states and a small international contingent from Nepal are expected to take part in the event.

The event will also include the 'Bird-Watching' adventure where tourist will have the opportunity to spend a quiet time amidst nature at Marem Reserve Forest, almost two-hour drive from the Ukhrul headquarters.

The team will also entertain 20 photographers and bloggers from out of the state as a part of their initiative to promote tourism in Ukhrul in particular, and Manipur in general. Interactive sessions are also arranged with the prime focus on tourism, blogging, and photography.

Three guest speakers from Delhi, Guwahati and Manipur will be the resource persons.

The team is expecting a huge number of participants and will also launch their travel magazine during the festival.

Live telecast will be made during the festival from the campsite.

The team's primary mission and vision are to preserve and conserve flora, fauna, and cultural heritage by promoting and raising awareness about adventure and eco-friendly tourism in Ukhrul, Manipur and North East India. (ANI)
