Bahrain condemns terror attack on Quetta church

Manama [Bahrain], Dec.19 (ANI): Bahrain's Foreign Ministry has condemned Sunday's terror strike on a church in Quetta, Pakistan.

It may be recalled that two suicide bombers attacked the church where around 400 worshippers were attending a service ahead of Christmas. At least nine people were killed and dozens of others were injured in the incident.

The Bahrain News Agency (BNA) quoted a Ministry of Foreign Affairs statement, as saying that Bahrain supports Pakistan's fight against terrorism and its efforts to establish security and stability.

The ministry statement further reiterated Bahrain's absolute rejection of all forms of violence, extremism and terrorism, and stressed the need for concerted efforts to end this phenomenon and establish peace in the whole world.

"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs offered sincere condolences to the families of the victims and wished of speedy recovery to the injured," the statement added. (ANI with inputs)
