Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a gathering of BJP workers during his first visit to his Lok Sabha constituency Varanasi after registering a sweeping victory in the elections. He said chemistry has triumphed over poll arithmetic, while thanking the party workers for their “hard work” all through the election process. Modi said that the party has been victim of two major challenges including political violence and political untouchability. The Modi-led BJP won 303 out of the 542 seats in the Lok Sabha.
