SHOCKING STATEMENT by Education Minister Tawde; says 'No need to shut schools & colleges'
Amid hefty traffic snarls and water logging in most areas, which has made it impossible for people to commute and go their daily chores, Maharashtra Education Minister Vinod Tawde on Tuesday stated that there is no need to keep the school and colleges shut.
“Since there will no high tide in the city before evening 8pm as per disaster management report, therefore there won’t be a water-logging situation” he said. “The high tide came at 8:30 in the morning and the next will be again at 8:30 pm”.
On the other hand opposition “Opposition must not politicise the issue and create a panic situation over rains”.
The minister further assured “preparedness” over any emergency situation.
