Prime Minister Narendra Modi with Chinese President Xi Jinping visited Panch Rathas in Mahabalipuram.
The group of Monuments in Mahabalipuram, a UNESCO World Heritage site. This group of sanctuaries, founded by the Pallava kings, was carved out of rock along the Coromandel coast in the 7th and 8th centuries.
PM Modi also showed Xi Mahabalipuram's Shore temple. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, wearing the traditional Tamil attire of 'veshti' (white dhoti), half-sleeve white shirt and angavastram over his shoulder, welcomed Chinese President Xi Jinping at Mamallapuram, also known Mahabalipuram, for the second informal India-China Summit.
