Hamas Chief Ismail Haniyeh Killed | ABP News

Israel has taken significant action against Iran, targeting Hamas Chief Ismail Haniyeh. The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) confirmed that Haniyeh and his guard were killed in a strike on his Tehran residence. The IRGC expressed condolences and is investigating the Wednesday morning attack. Hamas blamed Israel for Haniyeh's death, following his recent participation in Iran’s presidential inauguration and meeting with Iran’s Supreme Leader. Though no group claimed responsibility, suspicion fell on Israel, which had vowed to eliminate Hamas leaders after the October 7 Hamas attack that killed 1,200 and took 250 hostages. Israeli and White House officials have yet to comment, as the Biden administration seeks to halt the ongoing conflict, which has resulted in over 39,360 Palestinian deaths and 90,900 injuries since October.
