Understand the demands for a law against Marital rape in India
Presently, marital rape is not a ground for divorce under the Hindu Marriage Act, 1955, the Muslim Personal Law (Shariat) Application Act, 1937, or the Special Marriage Act, 1954. Now, voices are being raised over the issue of marital rape and people are demanding a law against it as it is not included in the IPC till now.
