Shirdi's Sai temple receives annual donation of around 700 Crore
The temple of Saibaba in Shirdi receives huge donations in cash and jewelries by the devotees and is among the richest temples in India. Last year, around Rs 217 crore was received in the form of cash offerings and at collection counters, while Rs 70 crore - nearly 33 per cent came from non-cash routes like cheques, demand drafts, money-orders, credit/debit cards, online transfers, foreign currencies, etc.
The donations also include gold jewellery, coins, guineas and other valuables and offerings of silver articles.
