'Law is paramount, not your policies': India tells Twitter

Amid a standoff between the central government and Twitter over new information technology rules, officials of the microblogging site presented their stand on preventing misuse of social media before a Parliamentary Committee headed by Congress MP Shashi Tharoor on Friday. During this, members of the Committee asked Twitter why a fine should not be imposed for 'violating the law.
