The increasing costs of essential items because of GST spares no one, not even politicians. A footage from Mandla, Madhya Pradesh shows about a politician buying corn cobs from a seller on the corner of the road and the seller, a young boy, sells it for 15 rupees. Surprised about the price, the politician joked about the corn cobs being sold free for which the boy answered that even they buy the stock at 5 rupees per corn cob, and he is not exaggerating any price at the sight of an expensive car.
