Was 'muhurat' issue of Ram mandir bhumi poojan a political controversy?

The foundation stone of Ram mandir was laid by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on August 5, 2020 but this much awaited date was questioned by many. Many leaders including Digvijaya Singh tweeted and urged to change the date as it was not an auspicious one. 

Now, it has come to light that the issue of 'muhurat' was just a political controversy.
