Yogi Adityanath led the UP Government May Review the OBC Quota Reservation for Muslims in UP. It is claimed that more than 24 Muslim castes receive reservations under the OBC quota in UP. According to sources, rules for this were established by the SP government, which may now be reviewed.

Sources indicate that under this initiative, it will be determined under which rules and regulations Muslims are being given reservations in the OBC quota. According to the report, about two dozen Muslim castes were given reservations in the backward classes' quota within the 27 percent reservation provided to OBCs in UP. Thus, it will be examined why and how this reservation was given.
