UP STF kills gangster Rakesh Pandey in an encounter

Uttar Pradesh's Special Task Force killed gangster Rakesh Pandey in an encounter in Lucknow. Pandey was the close aide of gangster turned politician Mukhtar Ansari. 

Pandey was accused in the killing of BJP leader Krishnanand Rai in 2005. The officials said Rakesh Pandey alias Hanuman Pandey carried a reward of Rs 1 lakh on his head.
