In 2017, Bharatiya Janata Party won Uttar Pradesh elections in the name of Prime Minister Narendra Modi with a huge margin. It brings a huge challenge for CM Yogi Adityanath to ensure BJP's big win in assembly elections 2022. Yogi Adityanath is the state's youngest chief minister, after Akhilesh Yadav, who was elected at the age of 38 in Lucknow in 2012. Yogi has widespread popularity among the BJP's cadre, regardless of caste or social background. His initial focus was on Poorvanchal, but he has since shifted his focus to the 'Hindutuva causes' in Western UP, even equating Kairana to Kashmir.  His tough-on-crime persona might be an advantage in a state where maintaining law and order is a big voting concern. And, he is not facing any serious corruption charges.
