Union Budget 2024: Delhi Minister Demands Rs 10,000 Cr In Union Budget For Delhi | ABP NEWS

Delhi Finance Minister Atishi requested Rs 10,000 crore from the Union government on Friday for the capital's infrastructure development. She highlighted that despite Delhi's significant tax contributions—Rs 2 lakh crore in income tax and Rs 25,000 crore in central GST—the city hasn't received financial support in the past year. Atishi urged the Union government to allocate additional funds to improve Delhi's infrastructure, transportation, power, and road systems ahead of the annual budget presentation.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will present the first budget of the Narendra Modi government's third term on July 23 in Parliament, as announced by Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju on Saturday. The President has approved the proposal to convene both Houses of Parliament for the Budget Session from July 22 to August 12. The budget for the financial year 2024-25 will be presented on July 23
