Tarang Shakti: Super power air forces come together in the sky, what is the secret plan?
The first phase of the multinational air exercise ‘Tarang Shakti,’ hosted by the Indian Air Force, concluded on Wednesday (August 14, 2024) in Sulur, Tamil Nadu, South India. The air forces of India, France, Germany, the United Kingdom, and Spain showcased an impressive display with Rafale, Typhoon, SU-30, LCA, A-400 military transport aircraft, and Airbus A330 multi-role tanker transport aircraft. The Indian contingent participated in aerial combat flights, demonstrating indigenous capabilities under 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' (self-reliance). The first phase of the multinational air exercise 'Tarang Shakti' began on August 6. The second and final phase will be held from August 29 to September 14 in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. The air forces of the USA, Australia, Greece, Bangladesh, Singapore, and the UAE will participate in the second phase. Around 70-80 aircraft, including fighter jets, helicopters, special operations aircraft, mid-air refuelers, and airborne warning and control system (AWACS) aircraft, will take part.
