Supreme Court to Hear On Muzaffarnagar's Name Plate Controversy Today | ABP News

Today marks the beginning of the auspicious month of Sawan. Today is the first Monday of Sawan. This year, there will be 5 Mondays in the month of Sawan, a rare and significant occurrence after many years. Sawan will conclude on 19th August this year. Today also marks the commencement of the Kanwar Yatra. Meanwhile, there is intense controversy over the issue related to names in Uttar Pradesh. Today, the Supreme Court will hear the case related to the name controversy. An NGO has challenged an order issued by the Yogi government. Today marks the beginning of the month of Sawan and the first Monday of this auspicious period. According to the Hindu calendar, today is the Pratipada Tithi of the Krishna Paksha in the month of Ashadha. The month of Sawan, which is highly revered among devotees of Lord Shiva, is considered exceptionally significant this year. Remarkably, this year, there will be five Mondays within the Sawan month, both the first and the last days of the month falling on a Monday—a rare occurrence that hasn't happened in many years.
