Shikhar Sammelan: Why Did Congress MP Manish Tewari Call The Budget A 'Chair-Saving' One? | ABP News
While speaking at ABP News' Shikhar Sammelan summit, Congress MP Manish Tewari explained why he described the Modi 3.0 budget as a "chair-saving" budget. He said, "In the last 10 years, the government neglected Bihar. After Andhra Pradesh was reorganised in 2014, it was ignored for a decade. This government is essentially running on crutches; if you provide financial support, it will manage to keep going, but without it, those crutches might disappear. The government is under pressure from JDU and TDP, and as long as this pressure continues, it will remain compliant with their demands." Tewari's remarks highlight his criticism of the budget's apparent focus on maintaining political alliances rather than addressing broader needs.
