Five security personnel, including an army officer, were martyred in the forest area of Doda district, Jammu and Kashmir. Officials reported that troops from the Rashtriya Rifles and Special Operations Group of the J&K Police launched a joint cordon and search operation in Dhari Gote Urbagi of the Desa Forest area around 2:45 pm, leading to the encounter. The intense firing lasted for more than 20 minutes, resulting in injuries to four army personnel and a policeman.
