Rituals Are Being Performed As 'Ratna Bhandar' at Jagannath Temple Reopens After 46 Years | ABP News

The sacred treasury of the 12th-century Jagannath temple in Puri, known as the "Ratna Bhandar," was opened by the Odisha government on Sunday after 46 years to allow for the inventory of the jewels and structural repairs. In 1985, the Treasury was last opened. Since 1978, it has not been inventoried, and the last time it was done, it took over 70 days. A committee led by a former Orissa High Court judge has been established by the state administration, which is run by the Bharatiya Janata Party, to oversee the inventory of valuables in the treasury. At 1:28 PM, the Jagannath temple's Ratna Bhandar opened.  The committee's chairman, Justice Biswanath Rath, claims that the location of the items' temporary storage has been determined.
