KS Eshwarappa, a Karnataka minister, has been identified in a police investigation into the suicide of a contractor who was found dead in a Udupi lodge yesterday after accusing him of corruption, according to sources. The minister is accused of driving contractor Santosh Patil to commit suicide, according to the FIR. The FIR also names Eshwarappa's two associates, Basavaraj and Ramesh, who were listed in a complaint submitted by Santosh Patil's brother Prashant.
