The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Rajasthan slammed the Congress government for demolishing a 300-year-old Hindu temple in the Alwar district on Friday. According to reports, three temples in Alwar were recently bulldozed to "eliminate encroachments." BJP leader Amit Malviya took to Twitter to accuse the Rajasthan government of hurting Hindu feelings by demolishing the old temple under the guise of development. "In Alwar, Rajasthan, a 300-year-old Shiva temple was demolished in the name of development," he tweeted in Hindi.
