Polls 2022: What made Akhilesh Yadav fight the UP election?

Days after the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) declared Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath as its candidate for the Gorakhpur seat, the Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav gave clear hints that he too will contest in the Uttar Pradesh elections. Now, according to reports, he may contest from SP's safe seat Gopalpur.
