PM Modi To Meet Employee Organisations Post-Ukraine Visit To Discuss Key Issues | ABP News
For the first time in a decade, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to meet with representatives from the national Joint Consultative Mechanism (JCM) of Union government employees and the Personnel Ministry. The Personnel Ministry has invited JCM Secretary Shiv Gopal Mishra and other staff members to the PM’s official residence on Saturday. The meeting is expected to address several key issues, including the restoration of the old pension scheme. Union and Central PSU employee unions had earlier planned an indefinite strike starting May 1, which was postponed after negotiations with the government. The unions’ demands include reinstating the old pension scheme, stopping the privatisation and corporatisation of PSUs, and addressing existing vacancies across various departments.
