Prime Minister Narendra Modi will chair the 9th Governing Council meeting of NITI Aayog on Saturday, July 27, with a focus on strategising India’s development into a developed nation by 2047. This was announced in a statement on Friday. The Governing Council, NITI Aayog's highest decision-making body, includes all state chief ministers, lieutenant governors of Union Territories, and several Union ministers. As chairman of NITI Aayog, PM Modi will lead discussions aimed at promoting participative governance. The meeting will also focus on enhancing collaboration between the central and state governments to improve the quality of life in rural and urban areas by optimising the delivery of government services.
