PM Modi Met SC-ST MPs: Political uproar has intensified following the Supreme Court's decision regarding sub-categorization within Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST). In this context, BJP MPs from the SC/ST communities met with PM Narendra Modi today in Parliament.

The MPs collectively submitted a memorandum regarding the Supreme Court's comments on implementing a creamy layer for SC/ST reservations and demanded that this decision should not be applied to their communities. PM Modi assured them that he would consider the matter. The decision has also faced opposition from Chirag Paswan and Ramdas Athawale of the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas). Chirag Paswan stated that his party would appeal against the decision.
