PM in Kanpur: Former UP CM Akhilesh Yadav takes a jibe at Modi over National Ganga Council meet
Uttar Pradesh's former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav launched an attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday. In his tweet, Yadav said, "Pradhan ji is having a big meeting in Kanpur for cleanliness and pollution of Ganga. In the name of the inspection, there will be 'false cleaning'." Akhilesh Yadav also advised PM to clean corruption first and then reach Kanpur.
This comes after the Prime Minister chaired the National Ganga Council meeting in Kanpur today, where he will also review the 'Namami Gange' project and get a first-hand experience of the impact of the program on the holy river.
