Pakistan-Afghanistan Border Clash: Heavy Gunfire Erupts as War Breaks Out! | ABP News

Heavy fighting erupted between Taliban-controlled Afghanistan and Pakistan last night. According to Afghanistan’s Khaama Press, the gunfire began around 7 PM on Wednesday and continued late into the night. The clashes occurred along the imaginary Durand Line in the Jaji Maidan district of Khost province. Reports indicate the use of heavy weapons from both sides. Local sources have revealed that Afghan soldiers have been constructing new checkpoints along the border, which may have triggered the skirmishes. The border dispute between the two countries has been ongoing for a long time. Khaama Press reports that Afghan soldiers have been building checkpoints near the Durand Line for the past three days. Meanwhile, Mahaj News, citing local and Afghan sources, reports that the firing subsided by late night. Local residents on the Pakistani side have expressed concerns about casualties on both sides, but the exact number of deaths is yet to be confirmed.
