Odisha: BJP Govt's Oath Ceremony To Be Held Tomorrow | ABP News

The BJP has appointed Union Ministers Rajnath Singh and Bhupender Yadav as central observers to appoint the new Chief Minister of Odisha. Rajnath Singh and Bhupender Yadav took their oaths as cabinet ministers at Rashtrapati Bhavan on Sunday, 9 May 2024. Earlier, BJP spokesperson Dilip Mohanty, in charge of the swearing-in ceremony, had announced that the swearing-in ceremony of the new Chief Minister of Odisha will now be held on June 12. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will attend Odisha's new Chief Minister's oath-taking ceremony. Talking about the Odisha Assembly elections, the Biju Janata Dal, which has been in power for a long time, faced defeat by the BJP. CM Naveen Patnaik's 24-year-old rule came to an end. Of the 147 seats in Odisha, the BJP got 78 seats, the BJD 51, which fell far short of the majority figure. The Congress got 14 seats. In the Lok Sabha elections, the BJP won 20 of the 21 Lok Sabha seats in Odisha.
